 ON A SERIOUS NOTE

The day before the monsters trampled a man to death in Long Island in pursuit of a bargain, I read something on Bloomberg.com about how this should be a great Holiday buying season. The article went on the say "the American public is totally conditioned to consume during this season."

I went away from that reading somewhat wondering whether or not this was, indeed, true, given that ISSUE #1 on CNN is the Economy, stupid, I figures the people would be home hunkering down clinging to their guns and their religion. How surprised I was to hear the hideous news from Long Island just the day after Thanksgiving. According to the New York Daily News:

"A Wal-Mart worker died early Friday after an "out-of-control" mob of frenzied shoppers smashed through the Long Island store's front doors and trampled him, police said.

The Black Friday stampede plunged the Valley Stream outlet into chaos, knocking several employees to the ground and sending others scurrying atop vending machines to avoid the horde.

When the madness ended, 34-year-old Jdimytai Damour was dead and four shoppers, including a woman eight months pregnant, were injured.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: WAL-MART CROWD MOMENTS BEFORE DEADLY STAMPEDE

"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," said Wal-Mart worker Jimmy Overby, 43.

"They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me."

How is it that this many people suddenly found the money to buy buy buy when they are crying about losing their homes and their jobs? This does not make any sense , does it? What is happening?

We are a nation of Pavlovian Degenerates. We are compelled beyond reason or morality to consume more that we need with money we do not have.

The Officials are trying to kick the dead horse of Capitalism into life. They are shoving all kinds of money down its throat but they cannot resuscitate this dead animal. But they will not stop! They will never admit that this foolhardy concept of consumerism is doomed to meet the failure it had met with and is now past its death throes and nothing but a rotting cadaver.

I Hope it was Happy Thanksgiving for all those who got their bargains that day over the body of a working man. I sincerely hope the Wal Mart Company made out well.

More over I hope the family had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Jdimytai Damour, the last before he was murdered by Capitalism.
