Poet In Residence at the Gazette

Capitalism, by its very
nature, begets war. The conquest of nations for
required or lusted for resources leads to
aggressive actions and conquest, subsequently,
occupation.
I listened to the raving of
the deluded John McCain defending the old "stay
the course" and was taken back to the words of
the President who most drove my future,
Lyndon
Baines Johnson.

Under A New Hat
I'm wondering what life will be like under my new hat. I'm also
wondering what other people's lives will be like under my new hat.
You see, this new hat of mine is already making me think more.
Maybe that's because it's new.

The Jaded Assassins

When the reviewer arrived at the Ohio Theatre for a showing of
Tim Haskell’s The Jaded Assassin, the doors were locked. She was
late, as were two other theatergoers. Fortunately, so was the
show’s designer, who called someone on his cell to let
us in.

To Kill A Mockingbird!
One
of the greatest works of literature to ever grace through America was
Harper Lee’s famed novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. After Americans
got over the initial shock that Harper Lee was a woman (The novel
was published in 1960)—it was widely thought that Harper Lee was
male—Ms. Lee lived a life in seclusion.
